An Early Christmas Present
As we all know, we've had some absolutely terrible weather this summer, with droughts and bushfires all over the country. Many people, but also so many of our animal friends have been affected awfully. For this reason, Ausclimate are giving an early Christmas present, in the form of a Donation to the WIRES Wildlife Rescue Emergency Fund.
This fund is about providing urgent wildlife rescue assistance to help with these unprecedented emergencies all over NSW. As fellow animal-lovers, we are more than happy to be helping out and encourage others to do the same for this great cause however you can.
WIRES Wildlife Rescue Emergency Fund
Summer is always extremely busy for wildlife rescues, with WIRES regularly receiving 600-1000 calls a day from the community needing wildlife rescue advice and assistance for sick, injured and orphaned animals. This summer there is the additional stress of the emergency events and surviving animals will be struggling long-term with dire food and water shortages and loss of habitat.
Many of WIRES volunteer rescuers and carers are inundated with animals and these events stretch already limited resources. It is impossible to estimate the number of native animals that have perished or how many more will be lost in the fires, or to predict the impact that dire food and water shortages, as well as habitat loss, caused by the fires and drought, will have on wild populations.
Please donate to help however you can. Your contribution will be a massive help in efforts to assist these animals. All gifts to WIRES $2 and over are tax-deductible.
Thank you and we hope that everyone out there has a very Merry Christmas!
